After growing up in Germany, I studied economics between 2000 and 2006 and moved to Norway in 2007, where I still live today. I have been following the capital markets since the late 1990s and started investing during the technology boom of the early 2000s. Experiencing the dot-com bubble, the global financial crisis, the rapid recovery after the Covid market crash and several other market cycles has shaped my investment philosophy and helped me understand both opportunities and risks in financial markets. Professionally, I have built a career in finance and business management in Norway. My experience includes work as an auditor, industrial controller, CFO in the transportation sector and today CFO in the real estate industry. These roles have provided me with extensive experience in financial analysis, valuation, risk management and long-term capital allocation. Over the years I have invested in a wide range of asset classes and strategies, including technology stocks, dividend stocks, turnaround opportunities, mutual funds, ETFs, certificates and alternative investments. Like many investors, I have made my share of mistakes and learned valuable lessons from them. These experiences have strengthened my focus on diversification, risk management and disciplined investing. Today my investment approach is primarily based on diversified funds and ETFs rather than individual stock selection. I believe that broad diversification, combined with a long-term perspective, provides the best foundation for sustainable wealth creation. My investment horizon is typically longer than ten years. However, I am willing to make tactical portfolio adjustments when market trends, long-term growth prospects or global economic conditions change significantly.
