---[ Experience ]---
- Master's degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen
- Writing analytical articles for the Danish Shareholders Association
- Regularily writing articles about business analysis on a Danish website belonging to a stock broker company
- Working for an experienced hedgefund-manager, conducting large reports about various country stock markets, ahead of following management meetings in the respective countries
---[ Motivation ]---
My interest in business analysis and the stock market in general was provoked by the infamous books by Benjamin Graham and Warren E. Buffett. Being an economics student, I found it interesting that the simple and yet strong fundamental ideas created by Graham and further developed by Buffett, almost seemed forgotten in modern day teaching of finance and investment analysis at the university. This inspired me to develop a different strategy than what we were taught in class, and along with a good friend and co-student of mine, I worked hard over many years alongside my studies to fine tune this strategy in order to maximize long run profit, and utilize the volatile and often illogical stock market.
---[ State of the market ]---
In general I do not believe in timing the entry and exit of the stock market as an investor. My strategy is developed with a focus on the long run. Clearly, the market goes up and down over time, recently apparent with the global financial crisis. However, I strongly believe, that with a clear focus on underlying business value, an investor should not fear the short term fluctuations in the market, and keep a peaceful mind as long as the fundamental state of the company is unchanged.
---[ Time spent on trading ]---
I spent an average of 25-35 hours weekly over the past 3-4 years developing and testing my investment strategy. At the moment, I spend most of my trading time updating my former analysis of different companies with the new releases of financial information and other news. This allows me to follow my strategy and update the portfolio alongside my job.
