Analysis of markets and countries with an outstanding growth potential by identifying companies that will lead future trends, followed by selecting key players for a specific peer group of the possible future leaders. Focused on growth in CF, Revenue, Earnings, Margins, Asset Turnover, ROE, ROA and further Comps and Ratios. Only stocks with an adequate quantitative moat are selected with regards to certain growth drivers relevant for the segment/peer and company itself. Financial stability is required, though earnings do not always need to be in the money if they are estimated to turn positive over the next 2 years. After narrowing down the selection, we look into technical factors to buy at the right time and interpret price relevant ratios in means of our strategy. Possible growth segments: IoT, Mobile Gaming, Blockchain, Cloud, E-Commerce, Electronic Payments, Agriculture Technology, Cannabis, Biotech... FYI: We are mirroring an already existing portfolio managed by 4 other students and I. Its a real money investment project by our University and has returned about 25% over the last two quarters of 2017. Obviously, adding all our current long positions to Wikifolio is not the best idea and will give us a rougher start on this platform but we are trying to keep both portfolios as similar as possible.
