As 99% of professional traders fail to beat the stocks markets over the long term, my trading strategy invests on stocks indices but technical and macroeconomic data are analyzed to exit the market when a recession (ie. a crash) is about to happen. Thus, the strategy is only made to avoid +20% corrections of the markets. The trading strategy is a non-discretionary system. Its spirit is to stay long on the market as long as the trend is up and the macroeconomic data are not suggesting that a recession is about to start. The strategy generated an annual return of 14,7% (without dividends) since 1972 vs 7,3% for the S&P 500. The strategy correctly avoided the 2008-2009 recessions and all the others before but haven't avoided the March 2020 crash as it cannot predict unpredictable events such as pandemic, war or natural disaster. The strategy is designed for those who want to follow an efficient and backtested trading strategy that beated the stocks market significantly over the long term.
