Trading Idea
This wikifolio seeks out small cap stocks in the European markets using the rules described by US fund manager James O'Shaughnessy in his 1996 book, What Works on Wall Street. It combines momentum and value factors and focuses on stocks capitalised at greater than €15m but less than €150m. Small stocks are routinely overlooked and one that have strong momentum and good value provide great opportunities. As with all of my wikifolios all stocks have strong balance sheets and sensible debt profiles to reduce downside risk. Finally I look to purchase stocks they when the break from a period of consolidation or when they are at or close to new/recent highs and I look to ride the price momentum until it falters (which could takes days or years) and I use Ichimoku Clouds (a form of technical analysis) to assess the placement of stops. This is a long only fund. I monitor my investments on a daily basis.
