Companies in trouble

This wikifolio invests in potential turnaround companies. On a regular basis the S&P 500 and the STOXX EUROPE 600 are screened for stocks that lost more than 50 % of their market capitalization over the last 52 weeks. This rationale is based on the ideas of Prof. Gerd Gigerenzer, director emeritus of the Center for Adaptive Behavior and Cognition at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, who studied the use of bounded rationality and heuristics in decision making. Single stocks in this wikifolio are limited to a maximum allocation of 10 % at time of acquisition. Profits are realized after significant gains (at least 30 %) or in order to invest in new potential turnaround candidates. Furthermore a position can be liquidated if there is no positive stock price development in the 52 weeks after acquisition.
