I use the patent indicators of a patent valuation boutique (www.ipr-strategies.com) that uses an unique KI based valuation methodology to evaluate all patents worldwide. This allows me to assign a patent portfolio value to each listed company. Patents are the blueprint of a company's R&D output. Assuming that patents are early innovation-indicators and that innovative companies succeed better in the market, listed companies with valuable patents also have a better stock market performace. The Q-IPR 30 strategy invests into companies with the top 30 globally most valuable patent portfolios with an increasing value trend (growing). The strategy addresses a constant, value based growth. The portfolio is adjusted monthly; on average, around 3 of the 30 stocks are replaced. There is no sector, region or size limitation. The investment universe is equities global. Investment horizon is medium-term (5 years)
