It is a long-term impact investing strategy aimed at generating both a financial return, and a non-financial impact by supporting companies that are creating innovative solutions to global challenges.

Portfolio companies rely on capital markets to finance new productive Research & Development-driven activities, instead of redistributing existing assets to shareholders (for instance, via share buybacks).

The quality of R&D undertaken by portfolio companies is evaluated through Big Data analysis of scientific publications. With this approach, companies creating added value and positive impact via world-class science & technology are selected into the portfolio.
