I am a computer engineer by training, a civil servant, and an investor since 2008. I am passionate about economics and financial literacy—a concept I believe is not sufficiently embedded in our society.
I began my journey into the financial world almost as a game. Trading platforms, leverage, day trading, CFDs—these are concepts we all hear about when first entering this arena. Gradually, as I read and educated myself, I evolved and matured as an investor, shifting my perspective toward the long term. Terms like "value investing," "income statements," "valuation," and "multiples" became increasingly familiar. Eventually, I reached 2023, a year when my life changed; thanks to life circumstances, I was able to allocate more capital to what I truly enjoy. Fueled by that capital boost and my prior experience—and living by the adage that "money begets money"—my portfolio has since grown at an average annualized rate (XIRR) of 18%.
