Global Long Short Capital

As we close out the year, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on the the first year of active management 2025 in Review This year marked the first full year of active management for the portfolio. The strategy was designed from the outset to be flexible, opportunistic, and risk-aware, with the objective of generating attractive absolute returns across different market environments rather than relying on a single market direction. Despite a volatile backdrop characterized by shifting macro expectations, sharp sector rotations, and uneven equity leadership, the portfolio finished the year with a strong positive performance, significantly outperforming broad equity indices over the same period. Importantly, this performance was achieved while maintaining the ability to actively manage exposure, including periods of reduced net market risk when conditions warranted caution. What Drove Performance Performance over the year was driven by Selective Long Positions: Capital was allocated to companies with clear competitive advantages, attractive risk-reward profiles, and identifiable catalysts. Position sizing was actively managed to reflect conviction and changing fundamentals Active Risk Management: The portfolio did not remain fully invested at all times. Exposure was adjusted dynamically, including temporary increases in cash when risk-reward conditions deteriorated. While volatility was an inevitable part of an active long/short approach—particularly in a year with sharp market reversals—the ability to adapt positioning was critical in preserving capital and capturing opportunities as they emerged. Lessons and Discipline Every year offers lessons, and 2025 was no exception. Periods of drawdown reinforced the importance of: Maintaining strict position sizing discipline Avoiding over-concentration, even in high-conviction ideas Remaining patient and allowing fundamental theses to play out These principles remain central to how the portfolio is managed. Looking Ahead Entering the new year, markets appear increasingly sensitive to macro surprises, valuation dispersion, and liquidity conditions. In this environment, I believe a flexible long/short strategy—with the ability to shift exposure, exploit inefficiencies, and protect downside risk—remains particularly well suited. My focus remains unchanged: Protect capital first Seek asymmetric opportunities Stay disciplined, independent, and research-driven I would like to thank you for your trust and continued confidence. I remain fully committed to managing the portfolio with the same care, transparency, and alignment of interest that I expect from my own capital. Wishing you a successful and healthy year ahead.
