The business magazine "trend" has named fintech company wikifolio.com Austria's start-up of the year. The award was part of the start-up competition "trend@venture 2017". An 18-member jury, formed by investors, companies and experts from the start-up environment, has assessed more than 100 start-ups on their future potential.

The jury was impressed by the genuine innovation of the wikifolio.com model: The start-up's offer has been complementing classic forms of investment approaches in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for more than five years.

"Congratulations to the entire team of wikifolio.com for this award! We are proud to have joined wikifolio’s community of shareholders and we are looking forward to supporting the company in its international development," says Jonathan Cohen Sabban, Managing Partner of NewAlpha Asset Management.

Andreas Kern, founder and CEO of wikifolio.com, is pleased about the award: "Key part of our success besides our one-of-a-kind business model is the performance of our entire team. We want to drive the revolution of the financial industry with more innovation and are looking for talented people who want to do this with us."
