In this wikifolio I should be looking at the beginning of each year in January (ideally before 31 January) to pick around 12 different stocks that I deem the most interesting on a one-year time horizon. My research will usually be based on company fundamentals including valuation metrics (such as P/E ratios, dividend yield, ...). The majority of the 12 portfolio stocks should be diversified, i.e. stocks from different industries. Once selected at the beginning of each year, the portfolio components will most likely not change throughout the year to avoid unnecessary turnover and fluctuations. ETFs can potentially be included in this portfolio to increase diversification.
