Trading Idea
Trading Idea for My Portfolio Strategic Approach: I adopt a value investing strategy focused on mid to large-cap companies within EUROPE and the US that are well-established and financially stable. I may occasionally invest in spinoff or turnaround stocks. My approach combines insights from Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, and Joel Greenblatt, aiming to create a strategy that integrates the best aspects of their philosophies. Analysis Criteria: 1. High Revenue and Earnings Growth 2. P/E Ratio 3. PEG Ratio 4. Return Metrics: Companies with high Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Capital (ROC), and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) 5. Insider Ownership 6. Insider Activity: Insider buying is a strong signal 7. Smart CEOs: Competent and visionary leadership with a proven track record. 8. Share Buybacks 9. Moat: A sustainable competitive advantage that ensures long-term profitability and market position. 10. Debt Management: Evaluation of debt-to-cash, debt-to-equity and debt-to-EBITDA Cash Position: I am almost always fully invested, but I may occasionally sell a small percentage of stocks to balance a negative cash position if needed. Time Frame: My investment horizon is medium to long term, aiming to capture growth and value over a long time. Sell Criteria: I follow Peter Lynch's famous advice: "Selling your winners and holding your losers is like cutting flowers and watering the weeds." 1. Story Changes: I sell a company as soon as the original investment thesis or story for which I invested changes. 2. Minimize Loss: My primary goal is to cut losses early when a company no longer aligns with my strategy. Inspirations: My strategy is a blend of principles from legendary investors: 1. Warren Buffet 2. Peter Lynch 3. Joel Greenblatt Book Influences: 1. You Can Be a Stock Market Genius – Joel Greenblatt 2. 100 Baggers – Christopher Mayer 3. One Up on Wall Street – Peter Lynch 4. The Essays of Warren Buffett – Lawrence A. Cunningham
