In der Global Macro Strategie wird versucht, die wichtigen mittel- und langfristigen Trends zu erkennen und sich entsprechend zu positionieren. Beobachtet werden dabei: Währungen, Zinsen, Metalle, Energie, Aktien (Indizes) und Commodities. Bevorzugtes Anlageinstrument sind Knock-Out Optionsscheine, anfängliche Investitionen bewegen sich in der Regel zwischen 0,5 - 2% des Anlagekapitals, bei starken Trends sind auch höhere Positionen bzw. Aufstockungen im Erfolgsfall denkbar. Es werden sowohl Long als auch Short Trades eingegangen, Verlusttrades dauern normalerweise wenige Tage, Gewinntrades können durchaus über mehrere Monate laufen. In the Global Macro strategy an attempt is made to determine mid to long term trends and to take positions accordingly. Signals may come from: Currencies, Interest rates, Metals, Energy, Stocks (Indices) and Commodities. The preferred instrument are Knock-Out Options, initial position size normally may vary from 0.5 to 2% of capital, strong trends may call for higher allocations or adding to already winning trades. Positions taken may be Long or Short, losing trades normally last a couple of days, winning trades may very well span a couple of months.
