The Smart Investor

This is a wikifolio that to a major extent will mimic the investments that I do in my personal portfolio. I tend to go long only, although on very rare occasions I might enter a short position as well. The portfolio should contain mainly equities from the US and European Markets, with the occasional use of ETF's if I have cash left and can't find a good candidate for investment. I will stay away from leveraged products. I base my investments predominantly on fundamental analysis, but when necessary also on the future potential of the industry, like the cases with new technological companies where the fundamentals are lacking. I like to keep only a handful of investments at a time, in order to better monitor them, which means the portfolio will be concentrated, but I will re-adjust the holdings if one is to exceed 20% of the portfolio. I conduct a careful analysis before I buy, because I like to hold the companies preferably for more than a year. However, in case the factors I considered when buying change dramatically, I don't hesitate to liquidate that particular position.
