Euro High Flyers

The European High Flyer wikifolio selects high quality European stocks that are exhibiting strong price and earnings momentum. The main focus will be on small and mid cap companies, where possible, though large caps are also included too. I use a blend of quantitative analysis of company fundamantals integrated with elements of Technical Analysis, specifically Ichimoku Clouds and Point and Figure Charts. I seek out companies that are profitable and exhibiting cheap earnings growth. They must also have a sensible debt profile and a strong balance sheet. Frequently stocks selected are either breaking out after a period of consolidation or are making new highs. I run winners in order to maximise upside and cut losers quickly to reduce drawdowns. I sell stocks when: a) they release bad news b) they lose price momentum and I select my sell points using Ichimoku Charts If a stock continues to exhibit price momentum then I can hold a stock for years and if a stock falters I can sell it within days, but overall the goal is to hold for the longer term in order to reduce trading costs. I monitor my investments on a daily basis.
