Trading Idea
Based on first-hand experience in the stock market as an investor (who is now 35 years old) and as a member of several investment groups (including people with hands-on experience in the industries), this portfolio attempts to beat the market in the long run (~10 years give or take). Every couple of years, we re-evaluate our investment and strategically adjust it (or if there is a particular, hard-impact event). The idea is to offer a diversified mix of conservative ETFs and undervalued stocks that have a monopolistic brand or position in the market. If one had to summarize the strategy, it would be described as (anti)-cyclical and structural. Invest when others are scared, and sit tight if things aren't too rosy. Never invest money that you might need in the foreseeable future. Buffett and M. Bury are examples of such sound investment approaches. We also closely monitor political decisions and risks, as they offer opportunities and indications for when to sell. We are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we never go all in on one stock, and we believe that crypto, for example, is something to be cautious about (currently). We pay particular attention to bubbles and try to buy when everything is in "shambles." No investment in a model that we don't understand. Unfortunately, many stocks of interest are not always available to all investors around the globe. This also applies to this portfolio, which is "based" in Germany and limited by its market access (e.g. emerging markets). This might slightly bias the selection of stocks and ETFs... Always open to exchanging ideas and analyses!
