Mit einem Webscrapper laden wir uns freizugängliche Bilanzdaten der Unternehmen herunter, die im Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index gelistet sind. Da die Bilanzdaten nicht für alle Unternehmen verfügbar sind, umfasst unser finales Sample ca. 2000 Unternehmen. Für dieses Subsample versuchen wir den Value Faktor eines bekannten Indexanbieters zu replizieren, um sogenannte Value-Stocks zu identifizieren. Unser Portfolio wird anschließend aus den 50 - 100 Einzeltiteln mit dem besten Value Faktor gebildet, welche wir gemäß ihrer Marktkapitalisierung gewichten. Unser Portfolio besteht somit nur aus Long-Positionen in Aktien. Da Bilanzdaten nur alle drei Monate veröffentlicht werden, werden wir unser Portfolio bis Februar nicht mehr umschichten.
