Contrarian value investments

We will make rather large contrarian bets based on value investing principles. For that we need to think of valuations and of business quality, ignore the noise and concentrate on our analysis. We want to buy only stocks for this wikifolio that offer a large discount to their intrinsic value. The candidates for possible investments need to offer at least a stable moat around their business. A moat identifies itself through pricing power, network effects, stable, improving and high margins or a powerful brand (for example). Management is a crucial part of a successful company. We are looking for an honest and integer management team, that communicates well with shareholders and focus on value creating for shareholders. We are reading annual and quarterly reports, listening to earnings calls and other events. If we can, we love to interview management as well whenever it is possible. From all of that we want to find out, if the management team is right for us. The target is of course to outperform the market over the very long term. We will buy only long positions investing in high quality companies all over the globe.
