Fear of Missing Out at Deutsche Rohstoff

# Name Performance 7 days
1 Micron Technology 9,61%
2 Deutsche Rohstoff 10,81%
3 Equinor 8,49%
4 Dell Technologies 10,98%
5 Wheaton Precious Metals 7,65%

Deutsche Rohstoff shares gained 10.8 percent last week. The Mannheim-based commodities group once again significantly raised its EBITDA forecast for 2026. Following the sale of five million shares in tungsten producer Almonty Industries, management now expects EBITDA of 355 million to 375 million euros under the base-case scenario. Previously, the range had been 290 million to 310 million euros. The shares were sold at an average price of just under 16 dollars per share, generating a pre-tax earnings contribution of around 65 million euros. This earnings contribution increases EBITDA by the same amount. The revenue forecast remained unchanged at 260 million to 280 million euros. The company’s planning continues to be based on an average oil price of 75 dollars per barrel, a natural gas price of 3.50 dollars per 1,000 cubic feet and a EUR/USD exchange rate of 1.15. Following the transaction, Deutsche Rohstoff still holds 5.5 million Almonty shares as well as receivables from convertible bonds and loans.

TRADING-SENTIMENT

wikifolio trader Manuel Stötzel assumes that even after the latest increase, the annual forecast has not reached its upper limit: “Oil prices and additional drilling activity could lead to further forecast increases. I feel comfortable with my additional purchases below 80 euros.” For his wikifolio Empfehlungen aus Zeitschriften, he increased the position over the past few weeks at 79.70 euros, 78.50 euros and 78.90 euros. With a weighting of around 9 percent, Deutsche Rohstoff is currently the largest of the portfolio’s 22 holdings in the fully invested portfolio. With a predominantly long-term investment horizon, the trader focuses on quantitative company analysis. In particular, he invests in “stocks recommended by German business and stock market magazines.” The wikifolio, launched twelve years ago, has generated a performance of 256 percent (11 percent p.a.) with a maximum drawdown of 46 percent.

Buying the Dip at Aehr Test Systems

# Name Performance 7 days
1 Tencent -5,85%
2 Aehr Test Systems -5,30%
3 Nokia -9,35%
4 Palo Alto Networks -9,27%
5 Bloom Energy -11,77%

Aehr Test Systems lost 5.3 percent last week after experiencing strong price fluctuations. The setback followed a 44 percent jump in the share price after the company published its annual results almost two weeks ago. The provider of semiconductor test and burn-in systems increased revenue in the fourth fiscal quarter from 14.1 million to 18.8 million dollars. Adjusted earnings per share reached 0.11 dollars, compared with a loss of 0.01 dollars in the same quarter of the previous year. Orders rose to a record 60.7 million dollars. Including orders received after the balance sheet date, the effective order backlog totaled 100.6 million dollars. For the fiscal year ending in June 2027, Aehr forecasts revenue of 130 million to 150 million dollars. This corresponds to growth of 160 to 200 percent. Adjusted net income is expected to reach 18 to 22 percent of revenue. Aehr cites AI processors, silicon photonics and power semiconductors as its key growth drivers.

The profit-taking is likely to have been a consequence of growing skepticism toward semiconductor stocks. However, several wikifolio traders used the price weakness to add to their positions. Florian Riediger increased his holding in the stock in his wikifolio TSI Strategie Nasdaq-Werte over the past few days. Aehr Test Systems is currently the portfolio’s third-largest position with a weighting of around 9 percent and a book gain of 60 percent. The portfolio, consisting of 13 stocks, is almost fully invested. Through a combined investment strategy based on technical strength and fundamental analysis, the trader aims to achieve “sustainable outperformance.” Specifically, he focuses on the strongest-trending stocks in the Nasdaq Composite, selecting companies that are successfully positioned in their market segment and therefore offer long-term growth potential.

Taking Profits at Atoss Software

# Name Performance 7 days
1 HONEYWELL 8,47%
2 Euronav 6,12%
3 Adecco Group 6,43%
4 ATOSS Software 8,78%
5 Soitec 28,02%

ATOSS Software shares gained 8.8 percent following strong quarterly results. The workforce management software specialist increased first-half revenue by 12 percent to 103.2 million euros. Revenue from cloud and subscription services rose by 26 percent to 55.7 million euros and accounted for 54 percent of total group revenue. Together with software maintenance, recurring revenue represented 72 percent of total revenue. EBIT increased by 17 percent to 36.2 million euros, while the margin improved from 34 percent to 35 percent. The order backlog from cloud and subscription business expected to generate revenue within the next twelve months grew by 25 percent to 120.7 million euros at the end of the first half. ATOSS also confirmed its full-year guidance of 210 million to 215 million euros in revenue and an EBIT margin of at least 34 percent. For 2027, management expects revenue of 235 million to 245 million euros and a margin of at least 35 percent. This was enough to give fresh momentum to the stock, which had previously fallen by more than half from its peak.

Most analysts, who had already been very optimistic, subsequently reiterated their Buy recommendations. The consensus price target of 132.60 euros remains well above the current share price. Nevertheless, Moritz Göthel removed Atoss shares from his wikifolio German Momentum Stocks last week as part of his regular rebalancing process, thereby limiting losses. The trader had added the stock in mid-2023 and realized initial partial profits a few weeks later. The remaining position was now sold at a price well below the original purchase level. Using a proprietary screening tool, the trader searches for momentum stocks with outperformance potential. Shares are only purchased when the closing price of the underlying index is above its 200-day moving average. With 18 stocks and 16 percent cash, the portfolio has delivered a performance of 51 percent (8 percent p.a.) since spring 2021, while the maximum drawdown has been 20 percent.

Jumping the Ship at LPKF Laser

# Name Performance 7 days
1 Amazon -5,65%
2 LPKF Laser & Electronics -9,85%
3 Auto1 Group -6,05%
4 LVMH -6,28%
5 CrowdStrike Holdings -9,10%

LPKF Laser & Electronics lost almost 10 percent last week, extending the correction that has been underway since mid-June. The laser systems manufacturer reported a 38.3 percent decline in first-half revenue to 36.5 million euros. The main reason was weakness in the solar business. Adjusted EBIT declined from minus 0.7 million euros to minus 10.4 million euros. Order intake increased only slightly to 44.0 million euros, while the order backlog of 34.7 million euros was almost unchanged compared with the previous year. LPKF confirmed its full-year guidance of 105 million to 120 million euros in revenue and an adjusted EBIT margin of between minus 3.0 and plus 4.5 percent. In its business with glass structures for advanced chip packaging, the company increased its estimate of the addressable market by 2030 from 500 million euros to around 1.7 billion euros. The analysts at Montega raised their price target from 15.00 euros to 22.00 euros and upgraded the stock from Hold to Buy. Initially, this did not help the share price. This morning, however, the stock is posting significant gains.

Thomas Spier added the stock to his wikifolio Selektion nach Leverm.(offensiv) at the beginning of last week at just under 15 euros, only to sell it again one day later at 16.80 euros, realizing a gain of just over 12 percent. The trader has slightly modified the points-based strategy published by Susan Levermann in her book Der entspannte Weg zum Reichtum by placing greater emphasis on earnings revisions. This approach has generated a gain in value of 185 percent, or 11 percent per year on average, over almost ten years, with a maximum drawdown of 43 percent.
